Red Sea and Egypt – sold out

North Africa’s underwater paradise

Where we are diving

Scuba divers might choose to travel to the Red Sea for any number of reasons, but among them are intact shipwrecks, shoals of sharks, and colorful coral reefs. Reef sharks, oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, tigers, and thresher sharks can be encountered throughout the region. Whale sharks, manatees, and dolphins may also surprise lucky divers. The reef life is also breathtaking. There are more than 800 species of fish. At least 10% of these species are endemic to the Red Sea. Sheer walls, shallow reefs, pinnacles, and open ocean drifts are common, but the most popular are shipwrecks, including both the Thistlegorm and the Umbria, accessible World War II wrecks. Scuba diving aboard the Blue Horizon liveaboard allows divers to discover fantastic marine life across a range of dive sites. Join Trip Leader, Frank Wells and experience all the Red Sea has to offer! All divers are required to have a dive computer, a minimum of 30 logged dives, and a minimum of 6 months before your passport expires.

Where we are staying

We will be aboard the newly renovated M/Y Blue Horizon October 3 – 10. The Blue Horizon is a 41m luxury liveaboard offering 5-star diving and service and was awarded “Liveaboard of the Year” in 2015 by DIVER magazine. Consisting of 9 deluxe twin cabins and 4 luxury suites, this upscale boat accommodates 26 guests. Each is equipped with an in-suite bathroom, individual climate control, mini-bar, TV and DVD player. The dining area offers a large dining table and entertainment system. This is the perfect place to gather and watch videos of the day’s dives. Breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard the Blue Horizon are served buffet style with snacks, fruit and juices served throughout the day. The diving amenities include a large dive deck equipped with nitrox and air fill stations, a battery charging station, and fresh water rinse tanks. Two sun decks offer comfortable loungers, a jacuzzi, and a shaded area for relaxing after a day of scuba diving. The Blue Horizon crew is always on hand to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction for a hassle-free and relaxing getaway.
