My love for diving started with my dad, a Navy diver in Vietnam, teaching me how to snorkel in our swimming pool. After my first successful pool dive, I was hooked. I am a level 8 diver and my husband Joe and I both instruct for Diventures; we love sharing our passion for diving with others. My favorite sea creature is the seahorse, and my latest focus has been on digital videography and capturing the action to share with others back on land.
Bill is a level 9 diver and lives in Florida but travels north to Iowa during the summer months. He was an educator in Iowa for over 30 years and being an SSI instructor enables Bill to combine his passion for being underwater with his love for education. As an avid underwater photographer, Bill has captured underwater sights around the world. Bill would welcome the opportunity to help you learn to dive, tune up or increase your skills, or have you contact him to just talk diving!
I’ve been scuba diving since 2010 and love all things water! I have traveled to Hawaii and Mexico, and worked in Grand Cayman as a scuba instructor. I love being able to share my passion for the ocean with people of all ages and Diventures is the perfect place to do so!
Chelsea has always loved any activity in and around the water. Her experience with swimming and life guarding has enhanced her desire of helping others gain the confidence they need! Chelsea has a great passion for snorkeling and is excited to help others find and reveal their love for all water activities.
Started diving in 2012 and I just want to get wet, everything else is just a surface interval. When I am not diving you can find me Golfing, Skiing, or riding my motorcycle. As a Divemaster Instructor, I am looking forward to providing an enthusiastic and thorough teaching style to promote a positive, relaxed, and fun learning atmosphere. I enjoy the trips to warmer waters like Florida, Mexico, and Honduras. However, I will dive anywhere at any time and would be happy to go diving with you at many of our local dive sites, or even in your backyard pool!
Swimming has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I became a lifeguard at the age of 15 and have loved helping people enjoy the water ever since. I swam competitively at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. I enjoy sharing my passion with others.
I was so confident about my ability and love for diving, that I actually purchased a total dive package before signing up for my first class. I showed up to the pool with every piece of dive equipment I would ever need, even had it all in a travel dive bag. That was in 2007. I never stopped taking classes and advancing my career. I became a dive professional in 2009. Now I dive with two of my kids who are certified also. My first dive in the ocean was with sharks in the Bahamas. I dove in Guam, the only place in the world where you can touch a WW1 and WW2 shipwreck at the same time. The earth is 70% water, might as well get under those waves and see what’s going on!
I am a level 8 diver and have been diving since 2007. I have traveled to many places to dive both in salt water and fresh water. I love to photograph the underwater world and share my experiences with others.
I’ve been swimming since I was little and have always loved the water. I swam competitively in middle school and high school and took my love for the water into college to study marine biology. I love working with others to grow their aquatic skills and become more comfortable in and around water!
I fell in love with diving at the age of 14. The ability to breathe underwater and experience an entire other world amazes me every dive. From getting certified in the Turks and Caicos islands to taking my most recent trip to Cozumel I’ve seen things that I never imagined. I am a level 1 diver and I can’t wait for my next dive!
Megan has a strong passion for water and exercise. She has taught water and group exercise classes for a wide range of ages since 2013 and loves being able to help others enjoy being in and around water.
I’m a level 5 diver and an Open Water Instructor. I’ve enjoyed being in and around water my whole life and have been diving since 2007. With an extensive background in teaching and coaching, the scuba classroom and pool at Diventures is a natural fit! I love to introduce people to the beautiful underwater world and teach people how to be safe, comfortable divers.
I learned to scuba dive in 2007 by taking a college scuba diving course. Little did I know when I took that “Easy A” course in college, I would be teaching the very same college class four years later. My favorite thing about teaching people to dive is seeing the look of excitement as they take their first breath underwater.
I’ve always loved pools and the ocean and have been swimming as long as I can remember. I fell in love with diving during my open water certification in the Turks and Caicos. I am a level 1 diver and can’t wait for my next trip.
