My love for diving started with my dad, a Navy diver in Vietnam, teaching me how to snorkel in our swimming pool. After my first successful pool dive, I was hooked. I am a level 8 diver and my husband Joe and I both instruct for Diventures; we love sharing our passion for diving with others. My favorite sea creature is the seahorse, and my latest focus has been on digital videography and capturing the action to share with others back on land.
I’ve been teaching swim lessons since 2017 and currently studying psychology and developmental science in hopes to continue working with kids throughout my career. I love working with swimmers of all ages to help them grow their aquatic skills!
Bri is an open water diver who shares the love of water with her black lab, Bender. When they’re not jumping off the dock at Sun Valley lake, Brit enjoys traveling to tropical paradises and exploring the underwater world!
I started diving in 2012 and I just want to get wet, everything else is just a surface interval. When I am not diving you can find me golfing, skiing, or riding my motorcycle. As a Divemaster, I am looking forward to providing an enthusiastic and thorough teaching style to promote a positive, relaxed, and fun learning atmosphere. I enjoy the trips to warmer waters like Florida, Mexico, and Honduras. However, I will dive anywhere at any time and would be happy to go diving with you at many of our local dive sites, or even in your backyard pool!

Swimming has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I became a lifeguard at the age of 15 and have loved helping people enjoy the water ever since. I swam competitively at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. I enjoy sharing my passion with others.

With that quote at heart, I seek knowledge wherever I can. Learning has become my passion, with that passion comes teaching what I’ve learned. With 10+ years of biology and medical background, I look forward to learning and applying that knowledge to diving and be able to instruct diving in the future. I’ve been diving since August of 2020 and have already logged several dives and look forward to sharing my love for the water and diving with others!
I was so confident about my ability and love for diving, that I actually purchased a total dive package before signing up for my first class. I showed up to the pool with every piece of dive equipment I would ever need, even had it all in a travel dive bag. That was in 2007. I never stopped taking classes and advancing my career. I became a dive professional in 2009. Now I dive with two of my kids who are certified also. My first dive in the ocean was with sharks in the Bahamas. I dove in Guam, the only place in the world where you can touch a WW1 and WW2 shipwreck at the same time. The earth is 70% water, might as well get under those waves and see what’s going on!

I have always been drawn to the underwater world and the beauty I’ve seen in pictures and movies. Once I learned it’s possible to dive in Iowa, I never looked back. As a level 8 diver, I have helped many new divers take their first breaths underwater and have taught ages 10 to 66 since becoming a dive professional in 2008.
I am a level 8 diver and have been diving since 2007. I have traveled to many places to dive both in salt water and fresh water. I love to photograph the underwater world and share my experiences with others.
My passion for being in the water began at an early age with rafting, swimming, and exploring the rivers and oceans of the Pacific Northwest. I joined the SSI dive program through Diventures in 2018 and worked my way to a level 4 Divemaster. I enjoy helping people of all ages learn how to be comfortable in the water so that they can also experience all that the underwater world has to offer.
I have been swimming since a few weeks after I was born and interested in diving for about as long as the water has been wet. I actually did my first dives in a pool in 1999 but didn’t do my open water course until 2013. Since then, I’ve enjoyed the warm, salty waters of Cozumel and Roatán, the frigid freshwater of Lake Michigan, and plenty of oceans, lakes, and quarries in between. My favorite underwater activity is macro photography. I’ve been a dive pro with Diventures since September of 2019. The best thing about being a dive pro is introducing new people to the underwater environment, helping them overcome their fears, and finding that aha moment when a new skill or technique suddenly clicks.
Lauren has taught swimming lessons since she was fifteen and says the best part about teaching is creating relationships with her students and their families. She loves keeping her lessons fun but also stresses the importance of technique. She has a positive and energetic approach to teaching and looks forward to helping her students grow their aquatic abilities.
I began swimming at a young age and fell in love with being in the water! During the day, I work in a school and love teaching children. Creating positive relationships with my swim families and having fun with my students is my main goal as a swim teacher.
I fell in love with the underwater world the first time I went diving! Working for Diventures gives me the opportunity to be part of the team and help people become comfortable and confident in the water.
I’ve enjoyed being in and around water my whole life and have been diving since 2007. As an Open Water Diver Instructor with an extensive background in teaching and coaching, the scuba classroom and pool at Diventures is a natural fit! I love to introduce people to the beautiful underwater world and teach people how to be safe, comfortable divers.
I’ve been a swim teacher since 2016 and I’m currently majoring in Elementary Education with my endorsement in science and my TLC in EL (English Learners). With my passion and drive to help kids learn, I enjoy teaching all levels of swimmers and helping them improve their aquatic skills!
