Diventures in Kansas City is the place for all things scuba. When it comes to planning your next epic dive trip, taking your first scuba class, or brushing up on your skills in our fun-filled classroom sessions, consider us your go-to scuba guides.
We’ve got the latest diving equipment for sale, plus we service gear and fill tanks to make sure you are set for your next adventure. Oh, and if you just want to swing by for a chat and share some diving tales, we’re here for that too!

Our store
We are located in Lee’s Summit in the Deer Brook Plaza. The shop is just 25 minutes south of downtown Kansas City. Divers near Overland Park, Harrisonville, Liberty, Lenexa, Odessa, and the surrounding areas can easily reach us via US-50.
Our shop includes a retail area, service center, and classroom space. We’re proud to carry the top brands from leading scuba manufacturers. Our local team of experts works one-on-one with customers to educate and assist them in choosing the right gear for their diving level and desired adventures.

Get scuba certified!
If you’ve always wanted to experience the magic of the underwater world, it’s time to get started! Earn your lifetime scuba certification and dive to depths of 60 feet. The SSI Open Water Diver certification is recognized globally.
Scuba certification with Diventures in Kansas City starts at $600. This includes your Digital Learning materials and Classroom/Pool sessions with our instructors. Students need to purchase their own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Surface Marker Buoy & Reel for training.
We have local opportunities to complete your four (4) Open Water Training Dives during the summer season, starting at $200. Or you can choose to complete them in the ocean on a Certification Vacation.Â
Try Scuba class
Want to try diving and learn to breathe underwater? This introductory class is two hours of fun. You’ll start with orientation and then hop into the pool. We’ll provide all the equipment. All you need is a swimsuit.
Refresh your skills
If it’s been over a year since you donned your scuba gear, we recommend taking a Scuba Skills Update. Our dive professionals will review assembling and disassembling your gear, proper buoyancy skills, and emergency procedures.Â
Scuba for kids
Scuba diving lessons for kids are a fun and safe way to deepen their love of the water.Â
Diventures Explorers is designed for water-loving kids ages 8-12. This course explores the aquatic world and educates kids on ocean conservation and scuba diving.
Kids can get Open Water certified, too! The Junior Open Water Diver course is available for ages 12-14 (private classes available for ages 10 &11). Upon completion, the child will be certified to dive to 40 feet with a certified adult. Once the diver turns 15, their certification is upgraded to Open Water Diver.Â

New facility coming!
Kansas City scuba fanatics and aquatic enthusiasts have something exciting to look forward to! Diventures plans to build a new facility that includes an 8,000+ square-foot state-of-the-art swim and scuba center, an indoor heated pool ranging in depth from 3.5 to 12 feet, a retail store, comfortable classrooms, a scuba service center and a travel center that offers phenomenal local and international scuba travel!
We will offer swim lessons at our new facility and can’t wait to teach babies, toddlers, children, and adults how to swim.
Kansas City’s new Diventures location will be the go-to for all of Kansas City’s aquatic enthusiasts!
