What are Certification Vacations?

From the Bahamas to Indonesia, from weeklong liveaboards to beachside resorts, we have trips for every level of diver and every budget. From beginner to expert divers, we deliver dive trips filled with amazing dive sites and lifelong memories. But what about new divers who still need to complete their open water training dives? If you have completed your classroom and pool segments and just need to complete your training dives, Diventures has you covered!

Diventures has just launched an exciting and purpose-built Certification Vacation program!

Certification Vacations are short trips exclusively for our students who are looking to complete their open water training dives. An easy flight from the U.S., Certification Vacations offer students the chance to complete their certification in clear, warm ocean waters with an experienced Diventures instructor. No more waiting until the weather is just right or diving through murky lake waters. These vacations allow you to dive any time of the year!

There are six spots available on each Certification Vacation trip. This ratio allows for each student to get individualized attention from their instructor. For most students, this will be their first-time swimming in the ocean-knowing you are doing it under the watchful eye of an expert makes for a confidence-building experience.

The next two Certification Vacations on our calendar will take place in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico. Just east of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is an easy trip from the United States and offers some of the best diving in the world, which makes it a great place to get certified. Students will be able to dive the second-largest barrier reef in the world – the Mesoamerican Reef, which offers a great variety of coral and incredible Caribbean marine life.

Here is an example of a Certification Vacation itinerary:

Day 1: 1-2 shore dives, based on time of arrival
Day 2: 4 shore dives
Day 3: 3 boat dives
Day 4: 2 boat dives
Day 5: fly home

There will also be plenty of time to explore the island and relax at the all-inclusive resort. 

Although this trip is exclusively for open water students, non-divers, spouses, and guardians of younger children are also welcomed to join.
