Welcome to the Jungle
Where we are diving
Just 400 miles off the coast of Puerto Rico and situated between the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique lies Dominica. The island is of volcanic formation and has mountain ranges that span from one end of the island to the other. The jungle typography will blow you away.
Below ground, you will find some of the healthiest reef systems in the Caribbean. The waters are calm and are home to a diverse set of landscapes that feature fumaroles, high walls and natural hot springs.
A popular dive site includes L’Abym which has a steep wall and submerged volcanic crater.

1. Healthy reef systems- unlike many Caribbean islands, Dominica isn’t sprawling with crowded tourist beaches and divers don’t frequent as often as other islands.
2. Environmentally friendly- Dominica recently banned all single-use plastics from the island and has become more self-sufficient by developing their own geothermal energy sources.

Where we are staying
Staying at Jungle Bay is an adventure and wellness trip all in one. Your private hideaway is set in a tropical forest overlooking the marine sanctuary of Scotts Head and Soufriere. It’s the perfect spot to unplug from everything, as you reconnect to yourself, one another and nature.
Sustainably designed in harmony with nature, Jungle Bay villas feature decor from local artisans and welcome an authentic ambiance. The Villa rooms are great for two people and can have adjoining rooms if requested. Private Villas are the most spacious suites on the resort and provide privacy for you to relax after a day of diving.
You can also visit the spa, unwind with yoga or strap on your hiking boots for an adventure through the jungle. There is no wrong choice.

The official currency of Dominica is the Eastern Caribbean dollar; however, the US dollar is equally accepted (1 US dollars = approx. 2.68 EC dollars). Credit Cards may be accepted in major town centers, such as Portsmouth and Roseau, however, we recommend carrying Eastern Caribbean dollars or US dollars in small bills while traveling around the island. Jungle Bay, accepts all major credit cards as well as cash in the form of US, EC or Euros.

Dress at Jungle Bay’s restaurant is island casual with everyone generally keeping to comfortable clothing. Ladies will not want to wear high heels as the trails are a bit uneven.
