Cutting-edge facilities

At Diventures, swimmers are kept warm, in and out of the water, for the ideal learning environment. We use custom-built Dectron HVAC systems that use the warmth from the pool water to heat the air in the winter, and the warmth from the air to heat the pool in the summer.

We sanitize our pool using sand filters, chlorine and UV light. Plus, our pool water circulates completely through our filtration system every 4 hours to eliminate microorganisms. Our natatorium operates on its own HVAC system with state-of-the-art air filtration and ventilation. We automatically control and manually check the chemical levels in our pool every 4 hours to ensure a safe swimming environment. UV filters help reduce chloramines and skin irritants.

Learn to swim with Diventures

Is your child ready for swim lessons? Whether your child is learning how to swim for the first time or prepping to join the swim team, Diventures offers a variety of classes to fit their goals!

Baby & Toddler

Designed for all children ranging from 2 months to 35-months-old, these classes are divided by skill, age, and comfort level. In these classes, swimmers in need of a parent alongside of them will transition from hands-on classes with a parent in the water to independent classes with kids their age. Expect your little swimmer to learn proper safety skills, how to float on their back, how to climb out of the water, how to safely go underwater, and how swim short distances independently!

Level 1

Ages 3-15 years

Level 1 is designed for young and introductory level swimmers. Classes are divided by skill level and age with consideration given to keeping swimmers in classes with like-aged classmates. Safety skills are introduced first and progressively built on in subsequent sessions. Parents can expect to see their swimmer learn how to float on their back, climb out of the water, safely go underwater for the first time, and swim short to moderate distances both independently and efficiently.

Level 2

Ages 5-15 years

Level 2 is designed for swimmers that have established confidence and ability in the water. Classes are divided by skill level and age with consideration given to keeping swimmers in classes with like-aged classmates. Safety skills are expanded upon and established skills are used to develop more technical skills and endurance. Parents can expect to see their swimmer learn how to breathe efficiently while swimming, swim on their back, expand their underwater skills, and learn skills that will be developed into the four recognized competitive strokes.

Level 3

Ages 5-17 years

Level 3 is designed for swimmers that have established endurance and technical skill in the water. Classes are divided by skill level and age with consideration given to keeping swimmers in classes with like-aged classmates. Established skills are developed into the recognized competitive strokes. Parents can expect to see their swimmer learn basic stroke drills, flip turns, and how to swim Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and the IM.

Swim Team Prep

Ages 6-17 years

Swim Team Prep is designed for swimmers that have established all four competitive strokes, their accompanying drills, and flip turns. Practice is run with similarly aged swimmers grouped as they would be for swim meets. Strokes are adjusted to provide the swimmer with the best times in competition as well as efficiency over distance. Parents can expect to see their swimmer better their stroke times, change their stroke to meet strict competition standards, build endurance for the demand of swim team practices and build team skills.

Kids swimming FAQs

Is swimming safe for my child?

At Diventures, safety is always our number one priority. Our swim teachers complete rigorous training, including a home study program, an 18-hour training session, and a 32-hour water apprenticeship. We keep our class sizes small and have Deck Managers and Life Guards on deck at all times to keep an extra set of eyes on all students.

How old does my child need to be before starting swim lessons?

We have classes designed for any age! Your child can start developing water skills as early as two-months-old.

What if my child is afraid of the water?

No problem! Our teachers are trained to help even the most fearful swimmers. If your child is afraid, let us know! We can help your child feel confident in the pool and keep them feeling safe at all times.

Should my child eat before class?

We recommend that children refrain from eating or drinking for about an hour before class.

What do I need to bring to the swimming class?

All you need to bring is a bathing suit, towel, and swimming goggles. For children 3 and younger, or those not toilet trained, we require reusable swim diapers. Goggles and reusable swim diapers are available in our retail store.
