American Red Cross Classes & Courses

Lifeguarding Certification
Get certified to prevent and respond to water emergencies. Our American Red Cross Lifeguard course includes First Aid, CPR, and AED training, valid nationwide for two years.
Open to ages 15+, the multi-day course combines hands-on skills and written tests led by experienced instructors.

Junior Lifeguarding Camp
The Junior Lifeguarding program is a five-day course for ages 11–14 that builds skills, safety knowledge, and confidence.
Participants improve swimming, learn rescue basics, and practice First Aid, CPR, and AED in a safe, supervised setting.

Babysitter's Training
The Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course helps youth ages 11–15 build confidence and skills to care for children safely.
It covers basic child care, first aid, emergency response, and CPR/AED certification valid for two years.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
This course teaches how to recognize and respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies for adults, children, and infants.
Training includes hands-on CPR, AED use, and basic first aid. Participants earn a two-year Red Cross certification upon completion.

Wilderness and Remote First Aid
This course is for those in remote settings where EMS may be delayed. It covers advanced first aid for wilderness injuries and illnesses like fractures, hypothermia, and altitude sickness.
Includes hands-on training and scenarios. Adult CPR/AED certification required. Two-year certification.

Waterpark Lifeguarding
This course trains lifeguards to handle emergencies in waterparks, including wave pools and slides.
It covers specialized rescues and surveillance for high-risk areas. Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and a swim test are required. Two-year certification.

Waterfront Lifeguarding
This course prepares lifeguards to respond to emergencies in open-water settings like lakes and rivers.
It focuses on waterfront-specific rescues, searches, and entries. A current Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and swim test are required. Two-year certification.
