OMAHA, Neb., March 3, 2026 – Diventures, the nation’s largest network of local scuba and swim centers, is proud to announce the opening of its new store in Ashburn, Virginia. Located at 44921 George Washington Blvd in University Village Commerce, the new location offers a more contemporary shopping experience and a more convenient, accessible location.
“Our new home in Ashburn and our long-standing shop in Vienna together show how committed we are to Virginia divers,” said Dean Hollis, founder of Diventures. “We’re excited to have a space that reflects our world-class standard for safety and training as we continue building a thriving, diving community here.”
Previously located in Sterling, Diventures will provide a full suite of scuba services, including certification from beginner to professional levels, equipment sales, gear service, and a travel agency specializing in group and private dive trips around the world.
The expert Diventures team also made the move to Ashburn, led by Scuba Experience Manager and Instructor Walter Sweeney. Sweeney has taught scuba in Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Thailand, Honduras, and Virginia, and looks forward to introducing people to the water for the first time and connecting divers with new opportunities to explore the underwater world.
Diventures is celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and open house in partnership with the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 5, at 4:00 p.m. The community is invited to tour the new store, view Diventures’ scuba class schedule, learn about upcoming dive trips, and enter to win an Open Water Diver certification package valued at $775.
