Scuba diving is an exhilarating activity that attracts people from all over the world. Chris’ favorite part about diving is the peace it brings. It has given him a sanctuary to restore his energy and create overall happiness. Although diving can be peaceful, like any adventure sport, it comes with certain risks. Divers can encounter a range of medical issues while diving, such as decompression sickness, lung injuries, cuts and wounds.

Chris Eaton recognized the importance of being able to provide medical assistance to fellow divers in such situations. He decided to pursue the Diver Medic Technician certification which requires extensive training and a deep understanding of dive medicine.

To achieve this certification, Chris underwent rigorous training in dive medicine, physiology and emergency medical procedures. He learned how to diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions that can arise while diving. He also learned how to administer emergency oxygen and perform CPR if necessary. As a Diver Medic Technician, Chris is responsible for entering the hyperbaric chamber and providing all necessary lifesaving procedures including running treatment tables, neurological exams, catheters, IV’s, IO’s, tracheotomies, sutures and chest decompressions.

For anyone interested in diving, Chris advises studying as much as possible and mastering it. It’s important to learn about your body and its interactions with gases, pressure, temperature, etc. If you are a scuba diver, it is always a good idea to dive with someone who has a Diver Medic Technician certification. With this certification, Chris hopes to save people who cannot make it to a hospital fast enough. Knowing that there is someone on the dive boat who is equipped to handle any medical emergencies can provide peace of mind and make your diving experience even more enjoyable.

Chris’ dedication to scuba diving and his commitment to helping others makes him a true inspiration. He has shown that with hard work and determination, anyone can pursue their passion and make a difference in the world.

We applaud Chris Eaton for his achievement in completing his Diver Medic Technician certification. We can’t wait to see what certification Chris achieves next!
