At Diventures it all starts with learning to be safe around the water. We teach swim lessons year-round for all ages. Our amazing swim teachers will help you reach your swim goals.Â
For ages 8 and older, we can teach you the magic of scuba! Our kids scuba classes are led by friendly and knowledgeable instructors. Get the basics in our Scuba Explorers program, and then earn your Junior Open Water certification once you turn 10.Â

Baby & Toddler lessons
Our Baby Beginner classes start as young as two months. Parents are in the water with baby until they graduate to Baby Independence, which is available for ages 18-35 months.Â
Child lessons
Our swim lessons are all about helping kids gain skills and confidence in the water. Classes are small with a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio so kids get the attention they need to build skills and become better swimmers!

Scuba training for kids
Diventures is your one-stop solution for scuba diving, and we love teaching young divers how to be safe underwater. From education and equipment to full-service dive travel, we offer you and your child everything you’ll need.
Become a Diventures Explorer
Diventures Explorers is for kids ages 8-12 with strong swimming skills. Explorers complete four sessions (each with classroom and pool time) and get an introduction into snorkeling, scuba, and marine life. Students will:
- Get a basic understanding of snorkeling and scuba, learning about the necessary gear and fundamentals – all in a safe pool environment with a certified instructor.
- Complete exciting activities and fun challenges in the water.Â
- Explore underwater species, organisms, and the delicate underwater ecosystem.
Course cost: $500
Get scuba certified
Being landlocked doesn’t stop us! Kids can earn their SSI Junior Open Water Diver certification here in Nebraska.
The Junior Open Water Diver course is a certification program for divers aged 10-15. It provides young divers with the basic knowledge and skills to dive safely under the supervision of an instructor, allowing them to explore the underwater world with limited depth restrictions and a certified adult.
Eligibility
- Age: The course is available for divers aged 10-15
- Parental Consent: Required for all junior divers
Depth limitations
- Ages 10-11: May dive to a maximum depth of 39 feet
- Ages 12-15: May dive to a maximum depth of 59 feet
Course cost: Starting at $600.
Our scuba certification has three parts: Digital Learning, Classroom/Pool sessions with our instructors, and four Open Water Training Dives. The Training Dives are booked separately. Students also need to purchase their own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Surface Marker Buoy & Reel.

Our scuba instructors are SSI certified and hold the highest level of recreational dive training. With tens of thousands of hours of diving experience and more than 50,000 logged dives at locations all around the world, they have the experience and knowledge to educate your child to be a safe and confident diver. They’ll learn from a dedicated staff, focused on their success.
Our facility
Our state-of-the-art facility in Omaha has a 25-yard heated pool ranging in depth from 3 to 14 feet, locker rooms, a glass viewing area for parents, a large retail space, a service center, and multiple classrooms for training.
Situated just north of the L Street Marketplace, Diventures serves water lovers from Omaha, Millard, La Vista, Ralston, Papillion, Gretna, Elkhorn, Springfield, Bellevue, Council Bluffs, and beyond!
