Diventures kicks off summer reading program with Omaha Public Libraries

Diventures partners with Omaha Public Libraries for an “Ocean of Possibilities”.

 

Omaha (June 13, 2022) – Omaha Public Libraries’ summer reading program has started off with a splash! From now through July 31, children and adults of all ages will have the chance to earn some awesome prizes through the OPL summer reading program. This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities”, and no one knows the oceans better than Diventures.

Summer Reading Program

Along with the reading rewards comes a chance for children and teens to participate in fun activities like storytimes, crafts, and escape rooms. Throughout the summer you will see Diventures representatives in the libraries.

This past week, representatives from the Red Cross and Diventures held a summer water safety presentation at the Millard Branch Library, where kids learned skills to keep them safe for a lifetime in and around the water.

Here is the schedule of Diventures’ events for the rest of the summer.

 

June 14th– Scuba Diving Adventures from 2-3 PM at W. Dale Clark (Main) Library

June 22nd– Marine Ecology from 1:30-2:30 PM at Charles B. Washington Branch

June 29th– Shipwrecks from 10:30-11:30 AM at Saddlebrook Branch

July 14th– Summer Water Safety from 1-2 PM at Benson Branch

July 28th– All About Sharks! From 1-2 PM at A.V. Sorenson Branch
