Travelers in Cayman Brac

A group of travelers from Diventures in Kansas City joined Trip Leader and Dive Professional, Herb Myers, in Cayman Brac for a week of diving in May 2026. While the island is known for clear water and excellent diving, the trip delivered more than great conditions underwater.

The group arrived at Cayman Brac Beach resort, just minutes from some of the top scuba diving sites in the region. “At the resort, life seemed to slow down, creating a truly relaxing and stress-free experience,” Herb said.

Unlike larger resort destinations, Cayman Brac Beach Resort offers a quieter atmosphere where travelers can focus on diving and enjoying the island.

“From day one, I felt like family at the resort,” one traveler, Mike Stack, shared. “The staff knew our names within just a few hours of arriving, but more importantly, they used them like we were old friends rather than guests.”

That level of personalized service became a theme throughout the week. By taking time to connect with travelers, the resort staff made a lasting impression.

Of course, the diving was a trip highlight too. Cayman Brac’s calm conditions, exceptional visibility, and minimal current created top-tier diving throughout the week.

Diver over reef

“Rock Monster was, without question, the highlight of our trip and now ranks among my all-time favorite dives,” Herb said. “The vibrant reef was teeming with fish, and the appearance of a reef shark elevated an already incredible experience. Every diver returned to the boat raving about the site.”

Experiences like that reinforced why Cayman Brac has a strong reputation among divers.

“With virtually no current and visibility extending beyond 200 feet, Cayman Brac has earned its place as my top dive destination,” Herb said. “The combination of pristine reefs, exceptional marine life, and ideal diving conditions make it a destination I would enthusiastically recommend to any diver.”

Even travelers who weren’t diving felt connected to the experience.

“As a non-diver, my favorite part of the trip was seeing my husband come off the boat each day with the biggest smile on his face,” traveler, Tammy Farmer said. “I get the greatest joy from his enthusiasm as he talks about the dive and all the things he had seen.”

By the end of the week, it was clear why so many divers return to Cayman Brac. The exceptional diving combined with genuine hospitality creates an experience that’s memorable both above and below the surface.
