Mike McCrory

Mike is the originator of The Dive Shop II in Little Rock, AR. He took his original Open Water Diver Class when he was 11 years old. So he’s been diving around 100 years. We occasionally keep him around the store as an ornament. His knowledge of the diving industry is surpassed by few. His favorite dive to date was in the Red Sea. The trip he is most excited about is the next one!
Michel Hughes
Aquatics Experience Lead
Michel began as a water baby growing up on the Caddo River. She started swimming competitively at 8 years old, and achieved big wins including first place in Arkansas with her 15-18yr old medley relay team. Growing up she wanted to become like the coaches who inspired her. At 16, she became a Red Cross lifeguard and WSI teaching swim lessons at the local YMCA.
Michel coached USA Swimming for the YMCA Seals from 2011-2014. In 2015, she branched off on her own to create Swim4Life and started her own summer league. In 2018, Michel joined AAU Bass Swim Team in Bryant and had the privilege of coaching Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa that summer. She has 18 years teaching experience and 14 years coaching.
Michel has a passion for teaching people how to swim, to be safe in and around the water, and helping them pursue their goals. She also has an Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood and studied Health Education and Promotion from UALR. Michel believes swimming can teach you valuable life lessons such as responsibility, time management, respect, determination, mental strength, and honesty. She is a proud mom to her beautiful children and bonus children.

Terri Bernard
Scuba Experience ManagerIndependent Instructor Trainer & Independent Classified Instructor
Terri is marking her thirteenth year with us and is a member of our full-time staff. She is an Assistant Instructor Trainer working towards Instructor Trainer and, is a recent recipient of the Platinum Pro 5000 Instructor award. She teaches classes ranging from Open Water to Assistant Instructor. Her favorite things include: time with family, spearfishing, photography, hosting outdoor activities, and that exciting text or call when a newly certified diver goes on their first dive trip. Terri’s favorite dive trip? “All of them!”

Chris Townsend
Independent Open Water & Specialty Scuba InstructorService Technician
Growing up, Chris spent his summers on the beautiful lakes of Arkansas, where camping, swimming, skiing, and fishing were a way of life. His passion for the water deepened after an unforgettable snorkeling trip to Belize, inspiring him and his wife to dive into the world of scuba diving—and they been hooked ever since!
As an Open Water and Specialty Scuba Instructor and a Level 6 diver, Chris is dedicated to sharing his love for the underwater world with others. Whether guiding new divers through their first breaths underwater or leading adventurous dive trips to tropical places, he is driven to make a meaningful impact on the dive community and the lives of others.
When he is not underwater, you’ll find him spending quality time with family, hunting, or traveling to explore new destinations for adventure. He is excited to help others discover the magic of diving, build confidence underwater, and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Jaden Jolley
Independent Open Water InstructorCustomer Experience Specialist
At twelve years old, Jaden Jolley took her first dive and never truly came back up. What began as a family tradition grew into a lifelong passion, and turning it into a career became the real adventure. Today, Jaden spends as much time underwater as possible, teaching, learning, and sharing a deep love for diving. The ocean has a way of putting everything into perspective, and Jaden cherishes the chance to share that perspective with others curious enough to dive in.

Michael Holley

Mike Holley didn’t stop being a warrior when he retired from combat—he just traded camouflage for a wetsuit. As a scuba instructor and equipment technician, Mike is the guy who can keep you calm underwater and fix that “deal of the century” regulator you bought online. But his talents don’t end at the water’s edge. With an embroidery machine in hand, Mike can stitch sharks, eagles, or anything else your imagination cooks up. Known for his sharp sales skills and even sharper wit, Mike has a way of making every interaction unforgettable. From battlefields to coral reefs to custom gear, Mike Holley proves every day that legends don’t fade—they adapt.

Scott, a member of the full-time staff, is an Instructor Trainer and a recipient of the Platinum Pro 5000 Instructor award. He handles teaching that ranges from Open Water Diver to Instructor. He has been with us since 1989 and is all around one of the best service techs and an excellent educator. Scott enjoys family, baseball, fishing, and reading. Among his favorite dives are the Galapagos Islands and wreck diving off the coast of the Carolina’s.
