Indonesia aboard the Velocean – 1 Single Suite Open

World class diving and luxurious liveaboard

Where we are diving

Indonesia hosts over 25% of the world’s fish species and around 70% of the worldwide coral species. Our dive adventures encompass the most popular dive areas – Misool, Ambon and Raja Ampat. You will experience massive underwater pinnacles, the elusive pygmy seahorse, and spectacular walls covered in colorful sponges. If you time your dive just right, you’ll have a good chance of seeing the stunning Mandarin Fish, who make their appearance just before sunset. You will also get the opportunity to experience some of the best muck diving in the world. If you’ve been thinking about honing your underwater photography skills, Indonesia is the place. You can expect to see over 500 species of vibrantly colored coral, nudibranchs, yellow frogfish, anemonefish, Manta rays, and an abundance of other macro life. Join trip leader Erika Roberts for a magical underwater experience!

Where we are staying

The brand new Velocean combines a sleek design with elegant and sophisticated décor with unparalleled service and amenities. Unlike most scuba diving liveaboards, Velocean’s cruising speed of 23 mph allows divers to maximize their vacation time – diving and exploring local islands and attractions. The vessel’s three decks provide ample space to socialize or relax in quiet surroundings. On the upper deck, you can lounge in the hot tub and luxurious sun chairs. For the convenience of underwater photographers, private camera stations located in the lounge area allow professionals and amateurs to pursue their passion while staying central to activities. On the Velocean you have three different room options:

Platinum Oceanfront Suites – Situated forward on the main deck, these suites offer the ultimate in privacy. Expansive windows offer magnificent panoramic ocean views unique to Velocean. Suites also feature a desk, docking station for music and surround sound speakers.

Elite Double Suites – These ocean-view suites each offer a private bath on the upper deck and flexibility for couples and dive buddies. They can be configured with twin or king bedding.

Signature Single Suites – Solo travelers will revel in this unique option. Book a Signature single suite on the main deck with a private bath, twin bed and ocean views without a single supplement surcharge. As a bonus, the room includes a desk and ample storage.

Know before you go

We recommend you travel with U.S. dollars and suggest you purchase some Indonesian Rupiah for payment of airline luggage surcharges and any incidentals. On board U.S. dollars and Indonesian rupiah currencies are accepted as are Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

For visits under 30 days, no visa is required to visit Indonesia.

The liveaboard business is a service industry, and although the general public is seldom aware of it, gratuities are a major part of a crewmember’s salary. A gratuity of 10-15% is customary, but many leave more when they feel the service was outstanding. If you are disappointed with the service, you should inform the captain of your feelings right away so he may rectify the situation.

All passports must be valid for at least 6 months from date of entry into Indonesia.

On board
Plush bath towels as well as towels for outdoor use are provided so no need to bring those with. You will also find shampoo and body wash in your own suite bathrooms.

Always check with your physician before visiting a new country.
