Grand Cayman

Explorers Take Grand Cayman

Where we are diving

The diverse array of underwater attractions makes Grand Cayman a great place for beginners and those working towards their Junior Open Water Diver certification.

This trip is perfect for children who have completed the Diventures Explorers camp and want to take their new skills overseas. It is also a great place for students in the Junior Open Water Diver course to complete their certification dives.

Our adventures will take us on exciting snorkel dives for Diventures Explorers and ocean dives for Junior Open Water Divers. It will also include a trip to Stingray City and Cayman Turtle Farm.

What prior travelers say

“Grand Cayman is one of my favorite locations to dive. Beautiful gin clear water, glorious wall diving, shallow dives with tons of macro life and some amazing shore diving. Don’t forget about topside adventures, great food options and of course the best sunsets I have seen to date! Can’t wait to travel the Caymans again.

Passport must be valid at least 6 months beyond the dates of your trip.

Weather and Water Temperature

Air temperature is usually between 87-89º and water temperature is around 85-86º.

You can use your electric appliances on the Cayman Islands, because the standard voltage (120 V) is the same as in the United States of America. So you don’t need a voltage converter on the Cayman Islands, when living in the United States of America

Free Sunset House Shuttle

Sunset House has partnered with Islandluxe to offer free shuttle service to George Town (around Bayshore Mall) twice per day in the afternoon. Leaves the hotel daily at 2pm and 4pm. Pick up is at 4:10pm and 6:10pm. Ask for information at the front desk.

There is no need for visitors to exchange their US dollars into local currency. The US dollar is accepted throughout the islands. Major credit cards (with the exception of the Discover Card) and traveler’s checks are widely accepted.
