Shore Diving Dreams
Where we are diving
With abundant marine life, over 80 official dive sites, and breathtaking views you’ll never want to leave. Bonaire is often referred to as the “shore diving capital of the world”. Its crystal-clear waters are perfect for any diver at any level. The calm waters allow novice divers to swim parallel to the shore with minimal currents. Advanced divers will enjoy the unlimited shore dives and freedom to explore the ocean floor. Swimming along with the large sponges and sea fans, you’re bound to spot angelfish, butterflyfish, seahorses, crab and shrimp.
Each dive site in Bonaire is marked with a large yellow rock with the site name painted on it. This makes it easy for you to hop in the car and just drive to your next site. You’re on island time now and the sea is yours.
We will be diving with Buddy Dive. As a full-service dive center, their dive team is known to go out of their way to make every dive a safe and enjoyable experience you won’t forget. Boat diving is very popular in Boniare and offers divers an excellent opportunity to dive sites other may not have access to. Boat diving with Buddy Dive lets the diver explore the beautiful underwater world under the guidance of one of our experienced dive staff members.
As the “shore diving capital of the world”, the fringing reef begins close to the shore, usually, a short 30 feet (10 meters) swim or less. Bonaire’s sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish. The sea is remarkably calm and conditions are superb for both scuba diving and snorkeling. On average, while diving on Bonaire, the visibility exceeds 100 feet (30 meters) and our average water temperature is 80º Fahrenheit (28°C).
