Experience excellent shore diving right from your front door with diving is as easy as you want it to be. 80°F water, 80-foot visibility, very little current, and over 80 dive sites. You can dive at your own pace, where you want, with who you want, and when you want. Because of the island’s location 100 miles north of Venezuela and well below the “hurricane zone”, the double reef system around Bonaire is healthy and interesting with large growths of hard and soft corals. The abundance of marine life living along the shallow drop-off of the reef slope allows for maximum bottom time, while giving new divers an opportunity to become comfortable and confident. Trip Leader Dave Dietze particularly enjoys the excellent opportunities for underwater photography.

Where we are staying
Buddy Dive Resort is located on the waterfront, just a few steps from the crystal-clear ocean. The resort includes an expansive diving deck and an excellent house reef. There is an onsite dive shop with both air and nitrox, a locker area, and a camera shop with equipment for rent/sale and photography coaching sessions. You’ll appreciate the unlimited shore diving — the rental truck and scuba cylinder drive-through make it extremely convenient. You’ll enjoy the friendly staff, cold drinks, two pools, and great ocean views. The island is a top destination for ecotourism. Be sure to visit the local donkeys and flamingos. No traffic jams, cruise ships, or casinos. This trip is ideal for those looking for a laid back and relaxed vacation.
