Job Title: Aquatics Program Director
Hiring Location: Any DiVentures location

Positions Open: 1
Job Type: Full time

Role Description

DiVentures, the nation’s fastest growing scuba and swim center, with six locations across four states, is seeking an Aquatics Program Director. In this key leadership role, you’ll make vital strategic decisions that will directly impact our curriculum, profitability, and overall success of our swim program. As importantly, you’ll provide the critical guidance, support, and consultation to store managers and aquatics managers at each location, helping them with the tools, knowledge, and direction they need to execute strategic priorities and run a dynamic and growing swim program.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Your primary areas of action include:

  • Strategize, develop, and grow the DiVentures swim program. You’ll be leading the charge and shaping our swim programs at all locations with a keen understanding of industry trends, conditions, and key business drivers. You’ll also be the driving force behind new growth, identifying new opportunities to enhance the program.
  • Evaluate current programs for effectiveness, profitability, and development. You’ll need to stay abreast of swim programs in all locations, individually assessing each from a consumer, business, and profitability perspective. The onus will be on you to suggest alternatives or new approaches to improve programs or fill gaps.
  • Consult, collaborate, and coach store managers. Our store managers will rely on you to offer insights, ideas, and practical guidance so that they can fulfill the potential of their swim program. You’ll be the “go-to” resource to help them succeed. When a company-wide strategic direction is established, you’ll leverage your strong people and persuasion skills to inspire store managers to champion the cause.

Key Personality Attributes

You’ll be part of a fast-growing and dynamic organization with a fun and exciting start-up spirit and culture. Those self-starters that have an entrepreneurial spirit, creative ideas, and an ability to multitask with agility will flourish here.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, so the ability to think on your feet and successfully manage and juggle competing priorities with calm confidence is a must. With six locations, travel is a necessary part of the job.

Skills & Experiences

Aquatic industry management experience with a strong business background is a must for this leadership role. Other desired skills and expertise include:

  • Financial acumen, such as an understanding of profitability factors, ability to read P&L statements and decipher analytics, budget management expertise, and other essential skills needed to build profitable swim programs
  • Jackrabbit platform experience, a scheduling and payment system designed for the swim school industry (this experience is not required, but a plus)
  • An understanding of retail trends to help identify the right product selection to support our swim program at all of our locations
